Ramses Recites Poetry

I’m learning a new poem, one I saw in the skeleton bookstore. Here’s what I’ve got so far.

‘Twas brillig and the slimy toes with fire and thimble in the waves
All flimsy were the borogoves and Mom’s wrath with grapes
Beware the Jabberwock in sun, the jaws that bite, the claws that scratch
Beware the jujubes and shun the furious binder clasp.

A black-and-white hand-drawn doodle on off-white paper features two quirky, monster-like figures. On the left, a scribbly, serpent-bodied creature with jagged limbs and a vaguely reptilian head represents the Jabberwock. On the right, a large, furious binder clasp with arched, claw-like arms looms menacingly above a small bunch of grapes. Both figures are drawn in a wobbly, playful stick-figure style, evoking a childlike imagination.
